Some of the activities that may be Included with retreats (activities may vary with each retreat)

Enhance your creative journey from a centered place within yourself ~ join an afternoon yoga session, . Let the serenity of Faux Retreats environment relax you as you extend, breathe, and stretch. Our yoga session is a perfect break from painting and welcoming to beginners as well as more experienced yogis. The style is a combination of the traditional yoga format, loosely structured to enable you to experiment with the postures, respond to your individual needs, and stay within your own comfort level. Yoga sessions are held at either the lake dock or art barn depending on the weather.  These are not held at all retreats.

Massage
______________________________________________

The human touch - the oldest, simplest form of therapy - restores us physically, mentally, and spiritually. A local certified massage therapist is trained in a variety of massage styles and will help you decide what type is best for you. The massage therapist will provide you with a private session on site. We recommend booking at least three weeks prior to the retreatto guarantee the best scheduling options. This is ala carte

Zumba dance

_____________________________________________

A Zumba workout mixes body sculpting movements with dance steps derived from cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, hip hop, mambo, rumba, flamenco, and calypso and Salsaton. The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms. It targets areas such as the glutes, legs, arms, abdominals, and the heart.

Reiki

____________________________________________

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

"The classes were great, with knowledgeable, fun instructors who inspired us all to expand our creativity.  The camaraderie we all shared was amazing.  I learned so much from getting to know my fellow retreaters as I did from the unique classes, and I developed lifelong friendships with a great group of artists."

- Mave Alft, Alft Decorators, Wisconsin

"My portfolio sample boards and the knowledge gained were very diversified compared to other classes I have taken, I also enjoyed socializing wtih new friends after class, the food, the campfires, games and contests.  The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful - a very good way to get the most out of your creativity.  I have made some new friends for life.  Who could ask for more?
